After first part of the season we are ahead of the first peak we are about to have this year, enduro Cerkno with main venue on the top of Ski resort Cerkno and this time with two days of racing and five different trails which is, considering that also national champion titles of Slovenia will be awarded on this race, the only appropriate schedule.

Racing travel from the mountain to the city

Organisers from Cerkno will give the last chance to the riders to check the trails on Saturday morning. After that Saturday’s part of racing will begin with start of the first rider at 16.00 in front of Alpska Perla on top of Ski resort Cerkno at 1300m of altitude. After first stage they will be brought back with a help of chairlift and they will continue with the second stage heading to the other side of the hill. A short climb will bring them to the start of third stage which is the longest, with aproximately 600m of vertical drop and ends just a few meters away from Franja Patisan Hospital, one of the  slovenian most famous national heritage.

After third stage another short climb will have to be made to get to the start of last stage of the day which will bring the riders directly to center of Cerkno.

Sunday’s racing will be held on mostly same stages, with exception of Saturday’s last stage which is not on schedule for second day of racing. The main difference will be that riders will have to do a bit more of climbing on their pedals. First start will be again in front of Alpska Perla on top of Cerkno at 10.00 for the first rider. Riders will have to face four stages which will give us the final answer who is the best at the moment.
