After 4 races of the 2015 season we are now moving to the Northern part of Slovenia. Bike park Krvavec will hold a special race of SloEnduro 4Fun series this Saturday! Riders will go face to face for the first time in SloEnduro series as there is mass start race waiting for them this weekend. Before main act of the day, mass start, riders will have time to train on the course all morning. After training there will be a seeding run to get their starting positions for the final run of the day.
Mass start will be a novelty for SloEnduro series
Mass start race in Slovenia on level like this has never been organised before. It is a total novelty also for the SloEnduro series, while in the world there are many races of this format, biggest of the being Megavalanche, Mountain of Hell, Red Bull Fox Hunt etc. Krvavec with it’s first edition won’t have such a big mass of racers on the start line, but still they will have to fight trough the seeding run to get a good startin position. All participants will go trough the seeding run to the finals, but their starting positions will be determind according to their result.
Organisers from ŠD Bam.Bi with Anže Bizjak as a leader and RTC Krvavec as a host venue made a good work preparing a trail “Rock’N’Flow witch gives rider a lot of fun. As it’s name sais, it has everything, from rocky and rooty technical parts, to nice flowy parts giving pure joy riding it down the hill.
Riders will hit the trail all together at 16.00 from top of Krvavec, almost 1900m above the sea level. First part of the race will be held on gravel road, giving opportunity to pass some riders and repair earlier mistakes. Some parts will be held on Krvavec flow trail of summer park trail which will make some more selection in the group. Before they hit the Rock’N’Flow trail, which was being built for more than a year, they will have to go over short climb, which should make final selection and brake the group a bit more, to get some space for each rider to start the trail. Once they are on the trail, there won’t be a lot of space for overtaking other riders, but a lot chances to make a mistake. So steady and patient riding to the bottom is going to be a key for success. The whole course of the finals is about 10km long with aproximately 1300m of vertical drop.

Main actors of enduro Krvavec?
Early entries are nearly closed and there are almost 90 riders entered for the race from five different countries. Talking about mass start races, there is hard to tell who are the favourites, since there can quickly go something wrong in the group, but anyway, we can find some fast rider on the list, including Peter Mlinar, always a fast rider ready for the win. Also Kristijan Medvešček is there, who is ready to make thing interesting. Beside them there are a lot of other fast riders on the starting list. Format of the race is new, as well as lenght and characteristics of the trail, which could also give us a surprise winner. In women’s category Nina Rupnik seems to be the strongest rival on the starting list, but Tina Rejc, who showed her skills on SloEnduro before, will try to make things harder for her. We are happy to see many new names on the starting list, which shows us that enduro spirit is spreading around here.
