This weekend the SloEnduro 4Fun series will be half-way through the season. On Saturday the town of Ravne na Koroškem in North of Slovenia will host the second Poseka FunEnduro. Last year’s edition was the opening of the new Poseka Bike Park. Now its two trails, the Šnel Pepi Flow and the Enduro Bavči, each with a 160m elevation drop, all nicely broken in.
The race starts at 11am so there will be anough time in the morning to get comfortable with the two trails. Then each rider will do two timed runs on each trail. All four times will be added togetger for the final results.
The under 15 category riders will do just one run per trail.
Bavči is a bit more demanding of the two but still and easy trail. It is in the forest while Pepi also runs on the ski slope. There is hardly any pedaling on both. The times should be between 3 minutes and 3:30, says Primož Gams of the united organization crew of Ravne Cycling Club and the local sports union. And adds that the dirt is good and not slippery even when a bit wet.
Poseka FunEnduro is held during the Ravne sports week. There is an asphalt pumptrack close to the venue for some added fun. And you have a chance to stay for a night or two in the new eco-friendly Punkl hostel which is also part of the sports park complex.
Plus Vid Peršak, local guy and SloEnduro champ, will show up to ride with you and you can check out the new local attraction, the newly opened Enduro bike shop nearby.
It’s not time for Black Hole Enduro, EWS and those things yet. This time it’s fun time in Koroška, time for some “normal” and fun riding!
