The Krvavec festival went on for two days this time with Enduro Krvavec as the main event of day two, Sunday.

There was more action on Krvavec “Beach” this time with special stages of the enduro race concentrated on top of the mountain whereas last year the racing took place on the whole length of the Pussycat trail down to the valley. And teh pumptrack and jumping show returned, the pit stop enduro race was added just before the award presentation… there was something going on all day long.

The event started on Saturday with a road hillclimb race and a junior downhill race on the Bambino trail. It made for a friendly two-day festival and in nice weather the mountain was crawling with cyclists, hikers, families, paragliders…

Enduro Krvavec always comes up with something new and third edition did not disappoint. This time it was the newly opened Jezerca trail and the Panorama which opened in June.

64 riders from Austria, Croatia, Italy and Slovenia entered round five out of seven of the 4Fun series. All three special stages were held on trails on top of the mountain between Hotel Krvavec and Ambrož village. First Jezerca, then the top part of Pussycat, then climbing transfer all the way to the Beach and finally the descent down Panorama. Nothing extreme really but as you know – when the clock starts running you can run into trouble just about anywhere.

Nejc Huth (Energijateam.com) ended up with the overall victory in front of junior rider Matic Kokelj (Wolf Racing Team) and Austrian master 2 category rider Cri Maierhofer (Team Dorrong). Nejc won the Jezerca and Pussycat stages and Matic the Panorama stage. In the end after 2.14 seconds separated them after over 9 minutes of racing.

Davor Kacin (Kamplc Racing Team) finished in fourth place and Jernej Oblak in fifth, also winning the hobby category. Jaka Tancik (Energijateam.com) won in masters 1 with 9th place overall.

Austrian Petra Bernhard (Team Dorrong), the SloEnduro overall leader, was the fastest woman in front of Slovenian Ana Zupan (Energijateam.com) and the 4Fun series leader, Italian Eli Cos (ASD Maglia Nera).

The next 4Fun series race follows on September 9th and 10th, the Enduro Kranjska Gora. More on this race
