There are just a few days left till this years Black Hole Enduro, race voted as the best event of SloEnduro sereis in the first two seasons. Organizers has served us with excellent organisation and great trails selection and as they say, it won’t be any different this year. The course will lead the rider even across the border, to neighboring Austria.
Three days of racing awaits the riders
This year’s schedule is greater than ever before. No less than three days of racing will be prepared by organizers. On Friday riders will stand against each other for the first time, when the evening prologue is on schedule. Classic course in Ravne na Koroškem wil lead the riders from “Čečovje” across the city stairs to bring them down on the street where they will have to pedal towards the finish.
On Saturday everything moves up to Singletrail park Jamnica, with start and finish area in front of Eko Hotel Koroš, also known as Dixi’s place. First stage will bring the rider down to the valley, where they will be picked up by a shuttle and brought to Austria, for the second stage. It will be held on Peca “Flow country” trail. Riders will get to the top with a help of the lift, but they will have to pedal back to Slovenia after the stage two, to come to Jamnica. After coming back, there will be the third stage on the schedule, which will also be a “Maxxis SuperStage”. Fourth stage will end the day on Saturday and it will be a secret stage, so no riders will know it and they will have to race it “blind”, which should add some excitement to the race.

On Sunday we have stage five on the shedule. It will be a longer stage with about 500m of vertical drop. After fifth stage done, 25 fastest riders will get one more stage to do, very special one. They go underground to the old mine of Mežica in Peca underworld. They will have to pedal about 3km in to the ground, away from sunlight, just to get to the start of the last stage, with a bit less than 100m of vertical drop.
Favourites?
We expect all the best Slovenian enduro riders on the start and many foreign fast riders. Kristijan Medvešček is currently leading the series ranking, but right behind him, there are two local fast guys, Vid Peršak (Orbea Enduro Crew) and Peter Mlinar (KK Črn Trn), who will try to take an advantage of home ground and win the top spots. As a local rider also Robert Kordež (Black Hole Enduro Team) is a serious candidate to take the top spots, but there are many others who can get in the fight as the race will be long and full of surprises.
In ladies competition Nina Rupnik (MBK SportR.si) is currently leading the series ranking, but Tina Rejc is allready entered for the race and she will be the main obstacle between Rupnik and top spot on the podium. Anyway we expect some more foreign riders to enter the race, who will be eager for the victory on Black Hole Enduro
V ženski konkurenci na lestvici SloEnduro trenutno vodi Nina Rupnik (MBK SportR.si), katero pa bo za zmago najbolj ogrožala Tina Rejc, ki je že med prijavljenimi. Na štartu pričakujemo tudi nekaj tujih tekmovalk, ki se bodo gotovo želele vmešati v boj za zmago.
