After five special stages of round two of SloEnduro 4Fun series in Trieste Erwin Ronzon and Eli Cos top the ranking of 236 riders.

On a sunny and warm spring Sunday, the Enduro 3 Camini on classic trails on Cattinara hill above the city of Trieste, Italy attracted a record field of 236 riders. After a 25km ride with 900km of climbing/descending the rides with best total time of five special stages was Erwin Ronzon (CMC Cycling Experience) with 12 minutes, 28 seconds and 33 hundred. His teammate, junior rider Roberto Paludetto was second 10.32 behind and Austrian Peter Mihalkovits (ASKÖ MK Factory Racing Team) third 12.57 behind on the winner.

The most successful Italian downhiller of all time Alan Beggin (5.1 Bike Team) followed in 4th in his enduro debut after setting the fastest time in SS4, then Michele Dreossi (Team Granzon) in 5th and top Slovenian Davor Kacin (Kamplc Racing Team) in 6th.

This was the 7th edition of Enduro 3 Camini by ASD 360 MTB club from Trieste and after 5 events in SloEnduro series it was part of SloEnduro 4Fun series for the first time.

Besides the enduro race the organizers held the first “Gravity Games” on Saturday with a dual slalom and an “easy DH” race, also with a great turnout of over 200 riders, many of them very young.

Categories

So Paludetto was the fastest junior in second overall. Francesco Remoto (Fun Bike Cussigh Bike) was the fastest among the masters under 40 years of age in 8th overall and Austrian Cri Maierhofer (Team Dorrong) in over 40 categories in 11th overall. With 5-year age classes there were four more masters winners according to local categories.

Eli Cos (ASD Maglia Nera) was the fastest female rider in front of Beatrice Todesco (AS Dilettantistica GS Fonzaso) and Austrian Marlene Misebner (Giant Stattegg).

No less than 30 riders under 17 years of age competed on a shorter course.

Next 4Fun series round follows in just over a month, on May 13th in Ljubljana, Slovenia where Golovec Trails will be hosting their first event of a kind. But the weekend before that it will be time for SloEnduro second round, Enduro Krokar at Dobrna, Slovenia.
