When choosing a substitute date and until the end, we were optimistic that we would get a new location for the SloEnduro series, one that is known in mountain bike racing all over the world.
But unfortunately it won’t happen, so together with the organiser Spank Maribor – DGK Pohorje we are cancelling the SloEnduro Maribor-Pohorje, which should have been the fifth round of the series on 31 August and 1 September this year.
We will not be replacing the race.
Organiser’s statement:
“The DGK Pohorje club has planned to organise three mountain bike events in 2024, the Slovenian Downhill Cup in May, the IXS EDC European Downhill Cup and the SloEnduro series in August.
Of these competitions, the downhill competition in May was successfully held, but on the basis of the conditions we subsequently obtained for the other events from Marprom, the Bike Park Pohorje operator, we are unable to organise the remaining two competitions.
As long-time organisers of mountain bike events, we regret that this situation has arisen, and we apologise to all participants for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.”
