This year the riders are scoring points in no less than seven rounds of SloEnduro series. And this weekend it’s time for the final! 12th edition of Kamplc Enduro (or SloEnduro Kamplc as officially named this year) in Ajdovščina, Slovenia.
Yes, the oldest enduro race in Slovenia, first held at Javornik bike park and then moved to Ajdovščina, is two years older than the series!
The big news is the year is that the venue has moved from Pale sports park to downtown Ajdovščina, to the rebuilt Lovrič square (Lovričev trg). Race office, start and finish as well as the award presentation will be held here. The special stages will of course still end at Pale or nearby at the bottom of the hill. As usually we will publish the exact course on Friday. It will be marked for training on Saturday.
But this much we can tell now: the long course will consist of five stages of which three are completely new and have been raced on! The total length of the lap will be 32 km with 1100 elevation meters of climbing and descending.
There will be three stages on the short course, 23 km and 720 elevation meters, and two stages on the U13 course with 13 km and 390 elevation meters including the transfers.
On Saturday the training starts at noon and on Sunday the race starts at 10.

Registration closes Thursday night.
Duel for the title: Ivartnik vs. Smrdel
The first two in men’s overall ranking, David Ivartnik (Golovec trails) in first and Miha Smrdel (MBK Črni Vrh) in second, are separated by 110 points. Third placed Jan Štucin (Pedal racing team) is third, 90 points behind Smrdel, and Jan Markič (ŠKTD Avče) in fourth, just 70 points behind Štucin. We are definitely in for an exciting final!
If Smrdel wins, he need Ivartnik to finish third or lower to take the title. There is a number of scenarios but anyway – any stage lost to crashes or mechanicals could completely upset the overall podium.
In the meantime Miha’s sister Tina Smrdel already confirmed the women’s overall as have most of the best riders in younger categories.
