This weekend the series visit the Gorjanci range in the surroundings of Novo mesto, in the south of Slovenia, close to border with Croatia. Zverinice club hosted their first SloEnduro race last year.
In 2019 Zverinice club organized the first Gorjanci Enduro on the trails under Trdinov vrh, the highest point of Gorjanci range on Slovenian-Croatian border. Last year it was part of SloEnduro series for the first time. The riders remembered it as a tough day of racing in scorching heat.
It brought two new names to top of result list: junior rider Miha Smrdel won his first overall victory while Tjaša Fifer, a moto enduro rider, won the women’s race.
Some known, some new
It will be another single day event this year with both training and race held on Sunday. This time with no Saturday prologue in town.
The venue with team parking, race office, start and award presentation is set at Kavce hunting lodge, close to the village of Gabrje.
There will be three special stages on the long course with 1490 elevation meters of climbing (combined training + race lap). One of the special stages will be held on a new trail.
The short course will include two special stages and 700 elevation meters of climbing and the U13 course 360 elevation meters (180 per lap).
Attention, there will be more descending than climbing! In both laps the riders will be shuttled from start to the end of the asphalt where the shaded climb starts. The shuttling for short course goes even higher.

On Sunday June 12th the training lap starts at 9 am and the race lap at noon.
