The 2017 SloEnduro season started with the short street prologue stage of Enduro Grozni Grožnjan in Istria, Croatia.

The three time fourcross World Champion Michal Prokop (Ghost Factory Racing) of Czech Republic finished fastest. In the short stage that took less than one minute he was 42 hundreds of a second faster than the second placed Hungarian Daniel Nemes (FRO Racing). Slovenian Davor Kacin (Kamplc Racing Team) finished third .55 behind Prokop.

“It was a short a nice night prologue. It’s my second SloEnduro race ever and I’m glad to be here,” Michal told after the race. “I’m looking forward to tommorow’s stages, they are fast and super dry.”

Theresia Kellermayr (Aut, Velochicks.at) was the fastest woman in front of Giulia Albanese (Ita, UC Caprivesi) and Gorana Težak (Cro, Adrenalina MTB Team).

Last year’s Grožnjan winners had some problems and they will start Sunday’s five special stages only a little bit behind. Vid Peršak was 1.7 slower than Prokop and Petra Bernhard (both Team Dorrong) was .75 behind Kellermayr.

Just like last year Croatian junior Ivan Bašić (BK TNT Pazin) was the fastest junior in 16th overall.

On Sunday morning Peršak will ride off the start with his number 1 plate at 10am and all riders should be back in town by 5pm.
