Round five of SloEnduro 4Fun series was held in Bike park Krvavec yesterday. The weather forecast was not so great and some 80 riders showed up to race. Finally they were rewarded with nice weather and only a few raindrops during the day.

The race was held on the newly opened Pussycat trail. The descent of 9 km in total exits on a road about half way down the mountain and that is where the first timed section ended. After a short transfer the second timed section started. The participants had four hours and a fast gondola uplift and an unlimited number of runs to make the best of the trail. Total time from the best single run by each riders went into the final results.

Austrian rider Matthias Stonig (MS Mondraker) set the past with the fastest first run. Another Austrian Gerd Skant (TSG Rider) and series leader Peter Mlinar (KK Črn Trn) were the closest in second and third. Stonig later managed to improve his time and stayed in the lead with the time of 10:31,02. But the order behind him changed: Mlinar managed to climb into second with a good run, just a second behind the leader. Skant kept his podium place while Nejc Huth (Energijateam.com) and Robert Kordež (Black Hole Enduro) rounded out the top five.

Austrian Anna Milazzi was the only woman on course this time and finished in 67th overall.

Matjaž Istenič (Energijateam.com) was the fastest junior rider, followed by Aljaž Bogataj (Pedal Racing Team) and Jan Balantič (Calcit Bike Team).

Robert Kordež won the younger masters category from Jaka Tancik (Energijateam.com) and Miha Vasilenko (Specialized RUS), and Austrian Reinhold Mlinar (Radlager Racing) won in the older class in front of Grega Nagode (Energijateam.com) and Marco Cantarutti.

Local rider Borut Zupan – Zuji won in the hobby class, Blaž Hölcl was second and Croatian Filip Vunjak third.

The season continues next weekend with Soča Enduro, a SloEnduro series race in Bovec, Slovenia. The 4Fun series returns on July 9th with second EnduRogla event on Rogla.
