Riding, timing, socialising … The 20chocolate Downhill Cup is joining us. Entries until Monday!
Especially on Saturday 22nd, but also on Sunday 23rd of March, the (non-competitive) action start of the new season of the SloEnduro series awaits us in Ajdovščina.
Last year we tried the new non-competitive format of the SloEnduro series, SloEnduro Day, in Solkan, Cilenca and Klagenfurt. This year, we are opening and closing the season with SloEnduro Days at two of the series’ classic locations, Ajdovščina and Grožnjan. Although it could also be called a SloEnduro weekend, but the focus is on one day.
We’ve raced enduro before at the end of March, but a non-competitive start to warm up will also be handy. On Saturday 22 March, the organisers from the Kamplc Cycling Club will be hosting a full day of riding on the trails of the Ajdovščina Mountain Bike Park. The selected track will be prepared in a race-like way and equipped with timing service. Not from the top to the finish in the Pale Sports Park, the base for the event, but in three sections.
The results are not to be published, but everyone will find out their results. Thus, there will be no traditional award ceremony, but there will be some prizes for “special achievements”.
SloEnduro + 20chocolate Downhill Cup
Enduro riders have been filling up the start list for the last two years at the “test day” of the Slovenian 20chocolate Downhill Cup on the Golovec trails. This year, the 20chocolate Downhill Cup has fully joined the SloEnduro Day in Ajdovščina, so it will be even more fun and exciting, with even more riders, including those on downhill bikes.

Not Just Pedaling
A special feature will be the chance to take shuttles to climb the road to Predmeja, from where it is possible to cross to the top of the park. The number of entries for the shuttle is limited to 150, but be warned, the number plates to access the shuttle will be transferable! As there will also be downhillers, make shure you secure your place on time.
So, like last year above Solkan, again a nice opportunity for experienced and budding riders to test their fitness and equipment, as well as tactics, for clubs to shake up their ranks a bit and more.
Info Point
To make sure it’s not all just a race, the organisers are preparing an info point under the Kamplc team tent, where they will help with bike and suspension set-up, as well as offer some advice to less experienced participants.
Sunday Rides
For Sunday, Kamplc is planning three guided tours of varying difficulty. Registration will be accepted all day Saturday, participation is free and they start at 10:00. So you are welcome to stay!
Attention!
As this is a non-competitive event, they have included a “safety” – in case of bad weather, they will postpone it to a week later, on 29 and 30 March!
