Dear friends of SloEnduro series, we are sorry to inform you that in agreement with organizers ŠD Pedal Cerkno we are cancelling the first round of 2021 series which was to be held on May 16 in Cerkno, Slovenia.
In 2020 we were looking forward to the return of this classic SloEnduro venue but unfortunately Enduro Cerkno ended among four (out of six) events which were cancelled the the corona pandemic season. Enduro Cerkno was last held in 2017, doubling as an EWS Qualifier event. The year before it was voted SloEnduro Event of the Year. This year a completely new course was being prepared for the race.
The current conditions in Slovenia are allowing for the sports events to be held under some conditions – like the absence of spectators. In the case of Cerkno it was these extra demands combined with poor support from the local community that forced the event to be cancelled.
But don’t have any doubts regarding the May 23rd event in Ajdovščina, the Kamplc Enduro. The local crew is working hard and are assuring us that the event will be held!
