Race description

This year the E3C will be a “blind race”. This will give the opportunity to all riders to run at the same level. The new trails that 360 MTB are preparing will only be published on Friday before the race. Saturday will be reserved for all riders to practice on the race course. Bike Shuttle is prohibited and there will be no prologue. This will make a day before the race reserved for knowing the trails and area.

Sunday, April 30th, five fantastic special stages around Basovizza will be waiting for 2nd stop of SloEnduro series 2017.

Race format

Classical enduro format with one day programme. Race will be held on several stages with riders starting in 20 or 30 seconds interval.

Youth Categories U17 and U15 will compete on shortened course, max 2 special stage or 90 minute race.

Starting orders

The first 100 numbers will be allocated according to the Italian Enduro Ranking and the National Ranking SloEnduro. Those following will be consecutive and the allocation will be based on the order of registration. The start date is based on the number assigned. The organization will deliver a personal time table to each competitor. Tables will be marked with journey times of each transfer and stage start to be respected. It is the responsibility of the competitor to check for any errors of their departure time including the time table.

Course description

Organisers will decide which stage is the most special one which will be remembered by riders the most. That stage will be chosen to wear a title “Kenda SuperStage”. Fastest rider on that stage will be awarded by Kenda.

Safety gear

Mandatory during the special stage, the use of the helmet fastened, specifically for practicing the ENDURO, DH and 4X. The helmet must be equipped with visor / peak. It is forbidden to use the helmet that allows the exposed chin (XC-AM helmets – only full-face allowed on stages). It is  also mandatory to use the protection for the knees, back (regularly marketed products for the specific use),  gloves with long fingers. It is allowed to use the lighter helmet like XCO during transfers.

 

The FCI also strongly recommends the use of the following protections:

  • protection of the shoulders of rigid material
  • neck protection, neck and elbows
  • long pants, wide and made of unbreakable durable material, or shorts, wide and made of unbreakable durable material accompanied by protection for the shins of a rigid material;
  • Any fitting suit (aerodynamic) in elastic fiber on the body is not authorized.
  • It is suggested you bring your mobile phone with you in order to be contacted or to contact the organizers yourself during the race in case of need. During the briefing, the organizers will announce the phone number to contact in case of an emergency. The phone number will also be printed on the timetable every participant will have applied onto the bicycle.

Bike equipment rules

Bike:  It is forbidden to replace the frame, fork, wheels, during the whole entire competition. The organization will provide during license checks to each competitor labels stickers, for the frame, the front fork and the wheels of the bike and it is up to each competitor to apply them to their bike. During the race the organization will check marks (punching). The competitor who will not have all the marks correctly positioned or not present at verification, will be disqualified.


 Basic rules

  • Starting list: starting order will be made according to the Italian ranking Top Class and SloEnduro ranking. In detailed starting order is described in the “STARTING ORDER” part of this propositions
  • Safety equipment: during the race it is mandatory to use safety equipment according to FCI rules which is in details described under “SAFETY EQUIPMENT” part in this propositions.
  • Timing: The timing service will be made by the SPORTident Slovenia
  • Antidoping control: The anti-doping control will be carried out in accordance with the regulations of UCI , the FCI and the Ministry of Health
  • Classification – Complaints: All riders crossing the finish line after the winner are considered having finished the race and they will be classified as their position on that moment.
  • The riders who will not finish the race must leave immediately the race course and they are forbidden to cross the finish line; on the final standing they will be marked with DNF (Did Not Finish) and they will not be given any point for the race.
  • It is possible to submit a written complaint against the facts of the competition within 30 ‘minutes from the publication of the standings with a payment of € 50.00 as a Results will be communicated on Excel Format to FCI, in accordance with their existing regulations.

  • Medical support: Medical support is provided by 1 medic and 3 Ambulances.
  • The closest Hospital with A&E department is located in Ospedale di Cattinara
  • Authorization for micro camera usage The Organizer, for broadcasting purposes, is allowed to select an available rider and let him wear a micro camera during the race. The name of the chosen rider will be communicated to the Commissaire Panel’s President, raising him from any responsibility.
  • Responsibility: No liability of any kind for damage to persons or property resulting from accidents or offenses committed by participants in the events, can in no way lead to head the organization and those who collaborate with the same. Although not covered in this regulation the Commissaire Panel will apply the UCI and FCI regulation in compliance with the Law of the Italian State. Race will be run with the use of electronic timing. Riders are obliged to return chip, otherwise organiser will charge a costs for a lost chip, which is 50,00eur
  • Organiser reserves the right to change this propositions, which will be announced soon enough.
  • Organiser is not responsible for the consequences, which riders cause to their self, other riders or third party.
  • Race course will be marked at least one day before the start and ready for inspection.
  • Organiser reservers the right to change the course, stage number or stage lenght due to unexpected situation such as bad weather and similar. Organiser will announce any changes soon enough.

No license riders

Attention: Riders without license can only participate if they order a daily licence of 15.00eur/day.  Rider without licence must also have a medical certificate signed by sport doctor. No license riders must also complete and sign the ETHIC STATEMENT. Failure or incomplete presentation of these documents precludes the participation in the competition. Hoby category, cycling for all and similar non-competitive licences are not accepted in Italy, that’s their rule.
