Vid Peršak (Slovenia, Orbea Enduro Team) wins today’s opening stage of Black Hole Enduro, SloEnduro Rd2 and EWS European Continental Series Rd3, .99 of a second in front of Keira Duncan (South Africa, Pyga Industries) in second and 4.53 in front of Sharjah Jonsson (South Africa), both U21 riders.

Yana Dobnig (Austria, Team Dorrong) was the fastest woman.

134 riders finished the SS1 on shortened Thriller trail in wet conditions. Thunderstorms shut down the Petzen gondola, stopping the riders from training on Thriller as well as on Sunday’s EWS Trail (SS5). The decision was taken to shorten both stages to about 200m of elevation drop.

So Sunday’s racing starts as planned on three stages in Jamnica, Slovenia, then moving back to Petzen to shortened SS5, same to today’s SS1.
