Registration for this year’s first SloEnduro Day, taking place this Saturday in Ilirska Bistrica, has been extended until Friday. Timing at Topol, riding everywhere!
As we announced on April 22, due to legal restrictions, we had to change this year’s second race in the series, the SloEnduro Borovci (May 9–10), into a non-competitive SloEnduro Day Borovci.
The main part of the SloEnduro Day Borovci, featuring timed runs, will take place on Saturday, May 9. You’ll be able to test your speed on the lower section of the Topol trail, from the road crossing to Črne njive all the way to Ilirska Bistrica. This section features approximately 100 meters of elevation drop.

Shuttle service will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., not only to the start of the timed section but also to Štanga, at the top of the trails. All trails will be open, with a special highlight being the renovated upper section of Kozlek, which has been prepared for the race. Also new: a short section called Šalčka.
An info point will be open all day in the park (Park Nade Žagar). As you may know, there’s also a pump track nearby for extra fun.
SloEnduro DAY
Since this will be the first event of its kind this year, let’s review the basic concept. On SloEnduro Day, we time riders on one or more courses. Participants receive information about the times they achieve. However, we do not publish the results, nor do we hold a podium presentation for the fastest riders. SloEnduro Day is particularly suitable for young riders who are just getting acquainted with enduro, as well as older riders who might want to try their hand at a real race someday. The atmosphere is relaxed, the schedule is “open,” and there are even more opportunities to socialize than at a race. There are also some accompanying activities.
Sunday
You’re invited to stay in Ilirska Bistrica on Sunday as well. Camping with restrooms and showers will be available at the Sports Park, and on Sunday, a guided MTB tour and the Brkini Classic, an unsupported gravel event, will take place. Brkini Classic propositions and registration.
There is no concert on Saturday, but there is one on Sunday evening at MKNŽ: Sick Thoughts (USA, rock ‘n’ roll/garage punk).
Register by Friday!
As noted in the subtitle, we have extended the registration deadline to midnight on Friday.
And here’s something else important about SloEnduro Day, which isn’t a “battle” like races are: the weather will be nice and the conditions will be perfect for riding, since the dirt will have gotten just the right amount of moisture on Wednesday and Thursday.
