This year SloEnduro will take a proper summer vacation. But before that we meet again at Krokar, Dobrna, Slovenia.
The spa town in Savinja region in Eastern Slovenia hosted their first SloEnduro 4Fun event already back in 2015. In 2018 they held their first »big league« race. They returned to the calendar two years ago and we can say they are a classic venue now. This year’s SloEnduro Krokar will be the eight enduro race by Krokar (Raven) Cycling Club from Dobrna.
The course
Besides the special stages on the classic Krokar terrain the organizers have prepared a new special stage from the Paški Kozjak range. It has a drop of some 450 vertical meters. Only the riders on the long course will have a go at this new stage.
The course will be published on Friday.
Our fingers are crossed to have the first ever dry race at Dobrna! Krokar has been traditionally unlucky with the weather. The forecast doesn’t look too bad right now.
The field
There are currently riders from four countries registered at prijavim.se. Actually without a single Slovenian elite rider so far but we got used to seeing the top names drop during the last two days of registration. Don’t wait too long though!
The standings
Last year the Smrdels took their first joint win right here at Dobrna. Miha and Tina (both of MBK Črni Vrh) are leading their respective rankings after four of this year’s rounds as well. Miha has 1050 points on top of men’s overall list which is 290 points more than David Ivartnik of Golovec trails (860 points), not enough for any kind of laid back racing. Junior Miha Jerkič (KK Črn trn) is close in third with 810 points and Vid Peršak (Orbea Fox Enduro Team) in fourth with 800 points.
Tina’s lead in women’s category is more comfortable, she has 1400 points, 570 more than second placed Tamara Homar (ŠKD Super potencial) and 600 more than Simona Kuchyňkova (oko everywhere racing) in third.
The young categories could get interesting again, especially the U17 male category.

The venue
The small tourist town is very friendly to our event. The start/finish/podium is in the middle of the town and there is more than enough free parking close by, camper vans included. There will also be a camping site.
