13th edition of Slovenia’s oldest enduro race opens 11th season of SloEnduro series on April 1st and 2nd with four special stages.
With its 11th season the Enduro World Series became the UCI Mountain Bike Enduro World Cup while SloEnduro remains SloEnduro under the umbrella of Slovenia Cycling’s Mountain Bike and BMX Commission.

Ajdovščina awaits
The race in Ajdovščina in Western Slovenia under the full name of SloEnduro Kamplc is traditionally the season opener and SloEnduro Grozni in Grožnjan is the final–except sometimes when we turn it up-side down. Everything is in its own place in 2023.
All events this year will take place over two days so we’ll see you in Ajdovščina’s Lavrič square (Lavričev trg) on Saturday. After picking up the number plates the riders will hit the trails on the training lap from noon. Four special stages on the long course, three on the short one and two on the U13 course. The trails will be published on Friday. The race starts at 10 am on Sunday.
The rebuilt Lavrič square was first used as the start/finish venue last year. It is just minutes of riding away from the hill and all the infrastructure is on hand including the parking lots. Even the bike wash this year, it was not possible last year because of water shortages.
The course
As stated in the race propositions the long course has about 1000 vertical meters of climbing, the length is close to 30 km. There are approximately 750 m of climbing on the short course and 350 on the U13 course.
The special stages will be held on trails from previous seasons with some modifications on sections.
E-bike
So far it has been up to the organizer whether to hold the E-bike category or not. This year we’ll have E-bike category at all the rounds. Additionally to the long course the E-bike riders will have a »power stage« and this time it’s a loop in the 4-cross track area.
Registration and number pick-up
The registration at prijavim.se is open until Thursday night, March 30. No registration will be possible on site.
The race office in Ave pub in Lavrič square will be open for number pick-up on Saturday. Number pick-up on Sunday morning is only possible for 4Fun category.
Single day license
The U13, 4Fun and E-bike are open for riders without licenses issued by their national federations. These riders should obtain a Slovenia Cycling single day license which is valid through the SloEnduro weekend.
We are working on online registration for this but for now the single day license will be available in the race office for the cost of 15 €.
Program
On Saturday the stages will be open for training from 12 to 6 pm. On race day the riders will be rolling out from 10 am and they should be finishing before 3 pm. The award presentation will be held on Lavrič square at 4 pm.
The weather
Thunderstorms are possible over the weekend. Well, it’s April. We’ve had it much morse in Ajdovščina.
Who is coming
An interesting international bunch is gathering on the list of registered riders: Austria, Croatia, Bulgaria, France, Hungary, Italy, Serbia, Slovakia. The fastest Austrian and Italian riders have not registered yet.
The Slovenians will try to defend the Ajdovščina fortress. The national champion Vid Peršak will miss the race since he will be at the start of EDR in Tasmania. But both Kamplc 2022 and overall SloEnduro defending champions will be there, Tina and Miha Smrdel, as well as other riders from the top of 2022 standings. Slovenians has a nice warm-up for the season at the first two rounds of Triveneto Enduro series. Miha Smrdel took a 2nd and a 1st at hist first two elite races.
