Enduro Grozni race in Grožnjan, Istria, Croatia, wrapped up this year’s SloEnduro series. Short report with overall results.
After Saturday night’s prologue and Sunday’s five special stages Slovenian defending champion Vid Peršak (Gaes Orbea Enduro Crew) won the event with a gap of just over 14 seconds over Austrian rival Gerd Skant (Giant Stattegg). This duel also decided the overall series champion and Vid defended his last year’s title.
In his enduro debut the Italian cross-country star Luca Braidot finished in third place.
Tadej Razpet (Pedal Racing Team) secured third overall with a 4th place finish.
For third time this year Austrian Petra Bernhardt (RC Gravity Eagles) won the race, this time in front of local Gorana Težak (KBBXS Adrenalina) and Italian Giulia Albanese (UC Caprivesi). The series champion, Austrian Yana Dobnig (RLM Mondraker Racing Team), finished fourth.
Slovenian Matjaž Istenič (Energijateam.com) remained undefeated this season in junior men’s, Polish rider Marcin Motyka (Romet Racing Team), the prologue winner, won the masters 1 category, Slovak Peter Drabik (Kaktus Bike) the masters 2 and Slovenian Nejc Kotnik (Bike Nomad) the hobby category.
130 riders from record 11 countries entered the third edition of Enduro Grozni organized by BBK Grožnjan, also final round of EndCRO series.
