Last Saturday in Kranj, the best riders in the SloEnduro series were awarded trophies at the closing event of the Mountain Biking and BMX Commission of Slovenia Cycling for the 2024 season.
Last season, the SloEnduro series hosted six cup races, one promotional race and three SloEnduro days, two events were held across the border in Austria and Croatia.
We had a very good turnout, with close to 300 participants at the most attended races. In the end there were 86 teams in the ranking, coming from Slovenia, neighbouring countries and from much further afield. Particularly pleasing is the number of young riders – 66 riders in the U17 ranking and 59 in the U15 ranking.
The SloEnduro awards were presented by Commission President Jan Starman and series coordinator Primož Štrancar.
In the meantime, we also gave out the awards for the best overall Shimano “super stages” – Shimano SuperStage. The winners of this classification were Nežka Libnik and Vid Peršak. Both of them are yet to receive the real prizes, and we will post more about their new jewellery then. The prizes were presented to both Koroška region riders by Neven Vinko, Regional Manager Shimano South-East Europe, and Tilen Terihaj, Marketing Officer for Shimano South-East Europe.
