Here’s the calendar of the eleventh season of SloEnduro series in Slovenia and Croatia with two new venues and some changes.
We are excited about racing in 2023, how about you? We’ll meet no less than nine times, eight times in Slovenia followed by the final event in Croatia. Seven races will be bringing points for the SloEnduro ranking. For the first time the National Championships will be excluded from the points series so that one is just for the titles even is international riders are also welcome to join the »open« race, like in 2022 all the National Championships will also be World Cup Qualifier events. The Golovec trails promotional events is also not part of the points series.
All the 2023 races will be held as two day events! Like in the past season races will be held on three courses: the short course for U13 category, the middle course for U15, U17 and the 4Fun category and the long course for the rest of the categories. According to new rules the 4Fun category (riders with single day licenses) will only race on the middle course. More details from new rules coming soon!
Let’s walk you through the season
On first weekend in April we are kicking the season off by a classic, the Kamplc in Ajdovščina. Later than month round two will be held in Ilirska Bistrica, the Borovci race.
First up in May will be the first of the two new venues – Perkmandeljc in Mežica, held on a part of the EWS Petzen-Jamnica terrain (or E-EWS to be exact) is joining the SloEnduro family. Round four will be held at the end of that month at Cilenca trails, Zagorje ob Savi.
If SloEnduro will open the door wide for a rookie enduro organizer and trust them with National Championships, it can only be an experienced downhill organizers of MTB Trbovlje. They’ve put on a number of legendary downhill races in the past two decades including a World Cup. The 11th Enduro National Championships will be held on June 10 and 11. We’ll see you once again in June at Krokar at Dobrna.
After the summer break we’ll re-start the season on the first weekend in September at Gorjanci, Novo mesto. Two weeks later it will be time for Enduro Golovec trails, a promotional event and part of Ljubljana MTB vikend festival.
We will wrap up the season with the classic, the Grozni in Grožnjan, Istria peninsula, Croatia.
