SloEnduro 4Fun series final with four serious special stages, more than enough pedaling and riders from four countries. Gorana Težak and Tim Jež fastest. Video’s here too!
There were six events in 2018 SloEnduro 4Fun series with no points and ranking so we don’t have overall champions for you after the final event. Through participating in grasroots racing a number of new riders got familiar with enduro competitions. And we took SloEnduro to three new venues of which two hosted enduro events for the first time.
Saturday’s Trnduro near Rijeka, Croatia, was one of the new events in the calendar but it was held for the fourth time by Team Rodeo and is also part of Croatian ENDCro series.
The experienced organizers wanted to offer their best trails to the riders so Trnduro ended up on the edge of the 4Fun limits, although it was definitely fun. The four special stages were sweet yet demanding for the 4Fun level. In total the participants rode 35km and over 900m of elevation. The winner spent 15 minutes on the special stages so it took many over 20 minutes to finish all four.
Among 53 participants from Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic and Slovenia the Slovenian Tim Jež (Kamplc Racing Team) ended with the fastest overall time in front of another Slovenian Matjaž Istenič (Energijateam.com, +9,94) and Croatian champion Frano Liović (BK TNT Pazin, +26,62).
Croatian champion Gorana Težak (Adrenalina MTB Team) dominated the women’s category in front of Austrians Sabina Eberhard and Daniela Lampl.
Men’s age categories were split by 5 years so there are too many winners to list but we’ll mention the top junior, Czech rider Jan Bronczek (Galaxy Cyklošvec Stevens) in 11th overall and Slovenian Sebastjan Stres (Kamplc Racing Team) of 40-44 category who finished in 6th overall.
Team Rodeo, thank you for the hospitality and a well organized event. We’re looking forward to see you in 2019! We are confident about bringing even more Austrians and Slovenians to the event and add some Italians and Hungarians.
