Round five of the series will be hosted by a completely new venue, Cilenca trails in Zagorje ob Savi, Slovenia, by Zagorska dolina club.
Is this the best SloEnduro season ever or what?! Races every other weekend, all well organized, with lots of riders and great racing.
This weekend it is already round five. So we are starting the second half of the season if we also count the SloEnduro promo event, the Golovec trails enduro in Ljubljana.
SloEnduro Cilenca is a new event on the calendar. It will be held on Cilenca trails, a trail center which opened in 2021 just outside of Zagorje ob Savi in Slovenia. Cilenca trails are operated by the Zagorska dolina cycling club, also organizers of SloEnduro Cilenca.
The 2022 SloEnduro Cilenca will be a single day event with both training and race held on Sunday, June 26.
What are we facing?
Cilenca trails are situated above the Europark sports center just out of the town of Zagorje. There is just over 200 m of elevation on the trails. They had four trails and built a fifth one for SloEnduro race! Everything on Cilenca trails on cilencatrails.si.
As always we will publish the course on Friday. So just the number now: three special stages on the long course, that makes around 22 km and a maximum of 1400 elevation meters on two laps (training + race). 800 elevation meters on the short course and 380 elevation meters on the U13 course.
“The last stage will probably the most interesting one, it is freshly built and you will not find it on Trailforks yet,” says event director Andraž Grum, a former downhill racer.
On Saturday from 2 pm the stages will be open for track walk, on Sunday the training starts at 9 am and the race at 1 pm.
The weather will be hot with a chance of afternoon storms.
