Race description

Merjasece Enduro Ruše is a one-day event organised within SloEnduro 4Fun series.

On Saturday, June 17th, the whole day trails will be open for inspection and riding.

On Sunday, race day, the riders will have time to check the trail until 10.30 in the morning. Race will be held on three different trail from Areh to Ruše. Similar as last year, but with a big upgrade. Last part of the descent has a brand new trail, so we are riding the trail all the way to the valley!

Exact course will be known in days before the race.

Race format

Classic enduro format with three different stages.

Starting orders

Starting order will be made according to SloEnduro rules. Riders will ride in normal starting order, so the best ranked rider (number 1) will start the first, while the rest will follow.

9.00 – 10.00 – race office open

11.00 – organised “shuttle” from Ruše to Glažuta (below Areh)

13.00 – first riders start (1st stage on Areh)

16.30 – last rider aspected in the finish

17.00 – award ceremony and event closure

Race course description

Race will be held on the course with three different trails. Trails all together are about 4.5km long with around 750m of height loss.

Stage will be held on new trails from Areh to Ruše, mostly on dirt ground with some roots and rocks sections. Mostly trails are held in the wood, while some of them are also on open ski slopes. Trails are partly technical, partly fast. Transfers are mostly on gravel road with total of around 560m.

There will be 4th stage as well, but without timing. It is held on the trail in the woods all the way down to Ruše, with another 250m of height loss. The trail is crossing the road a few times, so due to organisational reasons, this time it will be held without racing.

Start and finish area will be held in Ruše Sport park, where also feed station will held with some drinks and meals. Other feed stations will be positioned beside the course at the start of first stage and at the Cojzerica cabin beside the course.

Arrival

Main venue will be at Ruše Sport park, where also race office, timing crew and other informations will be held. Organised shuttle will also be starting at this point.

Parking is organised right at the venue and it’s neighborhood and will be marked on race map.

Safety gear

Safety gear is mandatory according to SloEnduro rules. On stages there is mandatory to use: full-face helmet, knee protectors and full-finger gloves. Back protector and elbow protectors are highly advised as well.

On transfer riders can ride with normal XC helmet. All protection must be well fitted during the stages, while on transfers riders are not obligated to use it, except for the helmet.

Accompanying events

Merjasec Enduro Ruše will be part of two day cycling event, called Merjasec Weekend. So on Friday evening there will be a concert of rap band Matter. On Saturday at 10.00 there will be an MTB uphill race from Ruše to Areh, while in the afternoon there will be a pumptrack challenge organised.

Traning on the course

On Saturday the trails will be open for training. Riders can go up with the bikes or their own shuttle, but the organiser will also prepare and organised shuttle for them. It can be used with cost of 5eur and will take riders from Ruše to Glažuta below Areh.

Basic rules

Competition will run under rules of UCI, rules KZS (Slovenian Cycling Federation) for Enduro and SloEnduro rules.
Anykind of course cutting is not allowed on the trails. It will be randomly checked. Any violation of this rule will lead to disqualification of the rider.
Prologue is not obligatory to ride. Riders not present will get an avarage time of the whole field.
Competitors are taking part of the race on their own risk
Prize fund is under the rules of SloEnduro
Results of the race will be published on the race venue, 30min after finish and later on website www.sloenduro.com
Delegate of SloEnduro is taking care for everything to be in accordance to the rules and arrangment inside of SloEnduro (numbers, sponsors, starting positions etc…)
On Saturday race office will be located on Bar Albinc in Cerkno, where the prologue will be held. On Sunday race office will be located at the top of the SC Cerkno at “Alpska Perla”. Arrival to the venue will be marked, as well as transfers to the start of the stages.
On transfers riders will need to observe all road traffic regulations.
With entry fee payment and starting number pick-up every rider confirms to agree with all conditions of this propositions and is riding on his own risk. Young riders needs an adult person to take a responsibility for him which should be made by his parents or an adult person who signs an entry form.
Team managers meeting will be held before the start of the race, like it is sheduled on the event programme. Meeting will be held at the race office.
Riders have to take care to pick up the timing chips before the start.
Riding and warming-up on the race course in the time of the event is prohibited and will be sanctioned.
There will be marshal positioned beside the course
Any riding outside the marked trail is not allowed and will be sanctioned
Protecting gear is mandatory like the rules of KZS for enduro sais (Full-face helmet on the stages, XC helmet is allowed on transfers. Kneepads, full-finger glowes are mandatory on the stages).
Complaint will be accepted by racing commision in accordance with the rules. It will be accepted by cheif referee up to 10 minutes after results release. Complaint caution to be paid 20,00eur
Medical team will be present on the race venue.
Race will be run with the use of electronic timing. Riders are obliged to return chip, otherwise organiser will charge a costs for a lost chip, which is 50,00eur
Organiser reserves the right to change this propositions, which will be announced soon enough.
Organiser is not responsible for the consequences, which riders cause to their self, other riders or third party.
Race course will be marked at least one day before the start and ready for inspection.
Organiser reservers the right to change the course, stage number or stage lenght due to unexpected situation such as bad weather and similar. Organiser will announce any changes soon enough.

Entries system

Entries will run trough the Prijavim.se portal. Other options will not be available. The entry is succesfull when the rider:

– correctly fills up and send the entry form trough Prijavim.se

– pays the entry fee trough Prijavim.se system or organisers bank account (informations below)

– sents the bank transaction receipt to the organisers email

Late entries

Late entries will be available also on the day of the event or until all spots are filled. Organiser will communicate the riders trough the Facebook in case of all spots are filled for the race. In case of free spot availalbe, all riders entered on the day of the event will be allowed to participate.

Early Entry fee

25,00eur (for entries and payments received until the entry deadline. Payments trough the Prijavim.se or directly the organisers account)

Shuttle on the race day is included in the start fee.

Late Entry fee

35,00eur (for all entries and payments received after the deadline and all entries and payments received on the day of the event)

Entry fee payment

Entries are open at Prijavim.se portal. Entry fee can be paid by Prijavim.se portal which has Paypal and direct bank transaction option. The system will guide you trough the payment procedure.

Payment has to be done until 24.00 on June 14th 2017. Payments done after this deadline will be obligated only in case of showing the bank receipt of the payment.

If you are paying for other riders, write donw their name in the payment porpouse.

All entries without the payment will be charged as the late entry.

No license riders

Riders without the license can race without any extra limits. Entry is obligatory by Prijavim.se as well as for all other riders and categories.

Organiser advises to order an Slovenian Cycling Federation membership card, but it’s not obligatory. With the membership, riders gets the thirdy party liability insurance for the whole season.

Riders can order, pay and receive the card also on the day of the event.

UCI license is obligatory for all riders, except the HOBI category riders.

Riders without license can only participate in HOBI category.

Youth riders

For all underage riders (born after June 18th 1999) the responsibility has to be taken by an adult person, who signs their entry form.
