On Sunday August 5 it’s time for Matadown again, now a classic of the SloEnduro 4Fun series with its specialty – the mass start.
The other gem of this event is of course the unforgettable 12,5km descent from the top of Matajur mountain right on the Italian side of the border with Slovenia. It is 1645m high and the course finishes 1400 vertical meters lower near the town of San Pietro al Natisone! Trailguide chose the trail for second best in Europe.
Matadown is the fifth 4Fun series event this year and the one before last. Vallimpiadi and ASD Maglia Nera crews are gathering their forces in event organization. The number of riders is limited to 150.
The event is supported by Mega bike, SPS Soluzioni per Scavezzacollo, Abetini Cicli, Birra Giulia and Fondazione Friuli and the staff has the help of Thok e-bikes on their duties.
The registration is still open but only to licence holders.
On Saturday 4th the course will be open for training. On Sunday from 10 to 11am the qualifications will be held on the lower section of the track. Then the race starts at 2pm for first group of men, followed by ladies at 2.15 and second male group at 2.30.
