Fifth race of this years SloEnduro series is here. This end of the week is reserved for sixth Kamplc Enduro in Bike Park Javornik, which is the first and the oldest enduro race in Slovenia. It was first organised in 2011 season, a year later it was organised even twice. Since 2013, when there was a first slovenian national championships in enduro, it is part of SloEnduro series.
Three races to go by end of the season
There are only three races left till the finish of a very long SloEnduro season. Kamplc Enduro this weekend, Enduro Kranjska two weeks later and finals with Enduro Grožnjan on third weekend of October. Just before the final part of the season Vid Peršak (Orbea Enduro Crew) and Kristijan Medvešček are together in the lead in series overall ranking, so we will have a very exciting ending of the season. In womens category Nina Rupnik (MBK SportR.si) is in a huge lead and only big troubles could take her victory away. In team rankings we had a few changes in the lead during the season. Waiting for Kamplc Enduro, Energijateam.com from Domžale is in the lead, followed by Pedal Racing Team and Kamplc Racing. Fight for the top spot is still open.
Kamplc with seven stages
Enduro Kamplc will get it’s winners after seven stages. For a change there will be no pedaling tranfers, as all of them will be made with a chairlift, but there will be enough of hard work during the stages. One of the stages will be closed till the race and riders will have a chance to ride it only once on Sunday, before the race starts and it is planned to be a last stage of the race. Favourites for the win are as usual. Vid Peršak and Kristijan Medvešček will go face to face and Peter Mlinar will not be far back neither. They are all ready to win the race, but also many others can surprise, even some local racers from Kamplc Racing Team. In womens competition Nina Rupnik is the biggest candidate for the win, but Giulia Albanese (U.C. Caprivesi) could make it hard for her.
Kamplc Enduro will start on Sunday at 10.00 with a start of the first rider towards the first stage.
